Since 1964, more than 2,300 students from 124 countries have graduated from the Master and Diploma programmes of the Diplomatische Akademie Wien - Vienna School of International Studies. Many DA graduates have become diplomats but even more have chosen different careers, in particular in the public administration of their countries, in EU institutions, international organisations, and in the private sector.

Furthermore, in the course of its Executive Programmes, the DA, since 1990, has trained more than 1,900 young diplomats and civil servants from Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe, as well as from Central Asia, the Pacific Islands and the Caribbean. Over the course of their careers, many participants in these courses have advanced to top positions.
